The LTI-1 is a self-contained, rugged unit in a black powder-coated aluminum chassis. It is a passive device, meaning it uses internal DBT transformers and does not require batteries or external power to operate. A three-foot (0.91m) attached cable with a 3.5mm TRS stereo male plug connects directly to the headphone or audio-out jack of a consumer device. The interface box itself has two male XLR connectors for output to a professional PA system or mixer, with controls on the box for managing the audio signal and eliminating potential noise issues.
