About the ADJ EPL100 EP Lens 10 - 10 HD lens accessory
The ADJ EP Lens 10 is a fixed-angle, high-definition 10° lens assembly designed as an optional accessory for ADJ’s ellipsoidal LED fixtures — notably the Encore Profile WW and Encore Profile Color (also compatible with their “Pro” variants). When you attach this lens to a compatible fixture, it transforms the fixture from a general wash or wide-field light into a precision instrument capable of producing a narrow, sharply defined beam of light, optimized for long-throw and spotlighting applications.
This 10° lens helps focus light tightly, ensuring that light output stays concentrated even over long distances — making it ideal for stage spotlighting, theatrical productions, concerts, church performances, or any production that demands a controlled, hard-edged beam rather than a broad wash. The focussed beam can highlight performers, set elements, architectural features or specific zones on stage or venue. Because of its narrow beam angle, spill light is minimized — giving lighting designers more control over what gets lit (and what stays dark).
The lens assembly is built with durable optical glass and housing, intended for professional use in touring, rental, theatre or installation environments. Physically, it retains manageable dimensions so that it can be mounted on fixtures without major structural adjustments. Being a fixed-angle lens, it’s less flexible than a zoom lens — but in scenarios where you need a consistent, repeatable 10° beam (e.g. concert spot, long-throw front light, theatrical spotlight) it offers reliability and precision over adjustable or wide-angle lenses.
Using EP Lens 10 simplifies the lighting setup when you know you’ll be needing tight beam control — you don’t need to wrestle with zoom/focus adjustments, and for many stage designs this consistency can save time and reduce variability across shows. In short, EP Lens 10 upgrades a standard ellipsoidal fixture into a focused, professional-grade spotlight, giving lighting professionals predictable control and clean output for demanding stage environments.
