JBL 2268HPL 351210-003X 18" Neo Woofer

$599.99

The JBL 2268HPL Differential Drive 18" speaker is the driver of choice for premium, high quality professional subwoofer systems. Compared with traditional driver designs, JBL's patented Differential Drive employs a pair of inline voice coils in separate magnetic gaps instead of a single voice coil-gap configuration. Available space is more effectively utilized, and heat is removed from the motor structure more efficiently. Specifically, the voice coils are wound reversely and are immersed in magnetic fields of opposite polarity. This ensures reduced magnetic leakage flux and focuses more magnetic energy in the gaps where it is needed. The 2268HPL is used in JBL's SRX718, SRX728, and SRX738 speaker systems.

About the JBL 2268HPL 351210-003X 18" Neo Woofer

The JBL 2268HPL is a high-performance 18-inch neodymium woofer engineered for professional sound reinforcement applications where high output, low weight, and extended low-frequency response are critical. Utilizing a neodymium magnet structure, this driver achieves a significant reduction in weight compared to traditional ferrite magnets while delivering powerful magnetic force for high efficiency and sensitivity. It is designed for use in high-power vented (bass-reflex) subwoofer enclosures, where its long-excursion capability and robust motor system allow it to produce deep, impactful bass with low distortion at high sound pressure levels. This makes it a preferred choice for touring subwoofers, large installed sound systems in concert venues and houses of worship, and any application demanding authoritative low-end reproduction.

The driver incorporates JBL's Differential Drive® technology, which features a dual voice coil and dual gap motor system. This design improves thermal power handling and reduces distortion by ensuring symmetrical magnetic field interaction within the gap. The cone assembly is built with a durable, treated paper cone and a large-roll surround to support the required linear excursion. Housed in a heavy-duty cast aluminum frame, the 2268HPL is built to withstand the mechanical stresses of high-power, low-frequency operation. For system builders and manufacturers, this woofer provides a premium transducer solution that combines cutting-edge magnet technology, advanced motor design, and proven reliability to form the core of high-output, professional subwoofer systems.
