QSC CX108V 8-channel Power Amplifier

$0.00

The CX108V Professional Power Amplifier from QSC was especially designed for permanently-installed sound systems where rack-space is at a premium. It provides unprecedented levels of channel density for multi-channel amplifiers, as well as 100 W output per channel @ 70 V. Each channel-pair may be bridged to configure this device as a 4-, 5-, 6-, or 7-channel. Additionally, it features DataPorts for remote amplifier management or signal processing, and incorporates QSC's legendary PowerLight™ technology, creating tighter bass and clean, transparent highs, plus cuts waste heat, boosts reliability, and eliminates unwanted noise and hum. This revolutionary switching power supply technology provides ample current to the audio power circuitry by charging the supply rails over 200,000 times per second through an ultra-low noise impedance circuit. Unlike amplifiers that use conventional supplies, the audio signal is never prematurely starved, and remains crisp and clean.

About the QSC CX108V 8-channel Power Amplifier

The QSC CX108V is a professional eight-channel power amplifier engineered for highly demanding installed sound applications that require distributed audio across multiple zones or speaker arrays. This amplifier is specifically designed to drive 70V or 100V constant-voltage speaker systems directly, making it an ideal core component for commercial background music, paging systems, and large-scale multi-zone installations in venues such as shopping malls, airports, hotels, and educational facilities. Each of its eight channels is capable of independent operation and can be configured for either low-impedance (4Ω/8Ω) or high-impedance (70V/100V) output, providing exceptional flexibility for system designers to tailor the amplification to the specific requirements of diverse speaker loads within a single rack-mountable unit. The amplifier's design emphasizes efficiency and reliability, utilizing a robust Class D power supply and output stage that delivers high power with minimal heat generation, allowing for continuous, high-output operation without the need for loud, energy-consuming cooling fans.

A hallmark of the CX108V is its comprehensive monitoring and control capabilities, which are essential for large, unattended installations. The amplifier features advanced data logging, real-time monitoring of key parameters such as output level, temperature, and load impedance per channel, and supports extensive control via QSC's proprietary Q-SYS ecosystem as well as third-party protocols including HiQnet. This networked intelligence allows system integrators and facility managers to remotely monitor system health, configure settings, and troubleshoot issues from a central location, significantly reducing maintenance time and costs. The front panel includes a detailed LCD screen and navigation controls for local setup and status review, while rear-panel connectors provide balanced analog inputs and both speakON and terminal block outputs for secure, professional-grade connections.

Built to the high durability standards characteristic of QSC's Commercial Series, the CX108V features a rugged steel chassis, robust internal components, and comprehensive protection circuitry guarding against thermal overload, short circuits, and DC offset. Its efficient convection cooling ensures silent operation, a critical feature in noise-sensitive environments like libraries, museums, and high-end retail spaces. By combining high-channel density with the versatility of dual low/high-impedance output modes and deep system integration, the QSC CX108V provides a powerful, intelligent, and scalable amplification solution that simplifies complex audio system designs while ensuring dependable, long-term performance for mission-critical commercial sound applications.
