The PS-Pro II is a 1U rack-mountable unit designed to protect valuable electronic equipment from damaging AC events, such as power surges, spikes, and extreme voltage conditions. It incorporates Furman's proprietary Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP+) with Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT) to provide noise filtration and surge suppression without contaminating the ground line. A key feature is its three-step power sequencing, which allows connected equipment to power up and down in stages, preventing inrush current issues and protecting speaker systems. The sequence can be initiated locally via a front panel switch (which is locking and has a removable key for security) or remotely via a rear panel terminal block. The unit includes multiple outlets, both sequenced and unswitched, and an Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) circuit for added safety.
