Klark Teknik VNET2-DANTE BRIDGE Connection Bridge for Dante Sources

$0.00

The Klark Teknik VNET2-Dante Bridge is a rack-mountable device designed to facilitate the connection of a Windows computer or IT system to a range of products that do not natively support the Dante audio protocol, including VNET networked loudspeaker systems. Applications include corporate headquarters, theaters, music venues, sports arenas, university campuses, shopping malls, and more.

The VNET2-Dante Bridge is capable of driving a network with 25 devices that spans up to 0.62 mile without digital audio or 362' with digital audio. It also allows the computer user to convert Dante audio to two channels of analog for connection to any product with analog inputs, with or without VNET control (for use with 1st generation VNET equipped products).

Housed in a rugged steel case, the VNET2-Dante Bridge can be used free-standing or rackmounted. Up to three units can fit in a 1 RU rack space. Connectivity to a Windows desktop or laptop is simple and using standard Ethernet cabling, with interconnections between VNET devices via Cat 5 cables and RJ45 connectors.

Power can be provided by connecting the VNET2-Dante Bridge to a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch or with the VNET Interface power supply (both available separately).

About the Klark Teknik VNET2-DANTE BRIDGE Connection Bridge for Dante Sources

The Klark Teknik VNET2-DANTE BRIDGE is a specialized audio networking interface designed to seamlessly integrate the digital audio signals from a VNET2 audio network into a standard Dante audio-over-IP ecosystem. This compact device acts as a dedicated protocol translator, enabling legacy or specialized equipment operating on the proprietary VNET2 network to communicate directly with the vast array of Dante-enabled hardware prevalent in modern professional audio systems. It is particularly useful in installations or touring systems where equipment from multiple generations or manufacturers must coexist, allowing signals from VNET2-based sources—such as certain stage boxes or legacy console outputs—to be freely patched into Dante recording interfaces, DSP processors, and PA system matrices.

Engineered for reliability in a rack-mountable format, the bridge performs its conversion with minimal latency and high audio fidelity. It establishes a bidirectional connection, taking in VNET2 audio streams and converting them into Dante channels that appear on the Dante network for other devices to receive, and vice-versa. This functionality effectively future-proofs existing VNET2 infrastructure by granting it a gateway into contemporary, standards-based audio networking. Setup and configuration are managed through intuitive software, allowing users to map channels between the two networks with precision and to monitor the health of the connection.

For system integrators and audio technicians, the VNET2-DANTE BRIDGE solves a critical interoperability challenge. It eliminates the need for complex analog tie-lines or system redesigns when incorporating newer Dante-based technology into an environment with established VNET2 components. By providing a stable and transparent bridge between these two digital audio domains, this unit ensures signal integrity, maintains a streamlined digital signal path, and significantly expands the connectivity and longevity of existing audio investments.
