The Crestron C2N-IRGW-1G is a professional wall-mount infrared gateway engineered to provide seamless wireless control integration for any Crestron 2-Series, 3-Series, or 4-Series control system via the Cresnet network. This compact one-way infrared receiver accepts commands from Crestron IR wireless handheld remotes and touchpanels, as well as third-party universal remotes utilizing the standard RC5 command set. Its entire visible face consists of a smoked plastic lens that provides a neutral appearance suitable for use with any room's color scheme, allowing the device to blend discreetly into residential and commercial environments.

Designed for clean, professional installation, the C2N-IRGW-1G mounts in a standard single-gang electrical box using a decorator-style faceplate (not included). The gateway provides up to 32 IR IDs (00 through 1F) for programming, allowing integrators to assign specific remote buttons to specific functions within the control system. Once installed and connected to the Cresnet network, it enables convenient IR control from anywhere within its coverage area, with a line-of-sight range of up to 50 feet depending on angle, obstructions, and IR interference.

The C2N-IRGW-1G features a recessed miniature setup pushbutton accessible with a paper clip, and a red LED indicator that signals IR signal reception, Cresnet network communication, and setup/update functions. Power is supplied directly over the Cresnet network, requiring just 1 watt (0.042 Amps at 24 Volts DC), which simplifies wiring and eliminates the need for a local power supply. The injection-molded plastic enclosure with smoked lens measures 4.13 inches high by 1.75 inches wide by 1.37 inches deep (without faceplate) and weighs just 2.4 ounces.
