EAW CIS400 Ceiling-Mounted Two-Way Speaker

$119.99

The EAW CIS400 (40-watt, 6.5-inch LF driver) compact two-way flush-mount ceiling loudspeaker employs a modified HF waveguide that integrates the HF driver with the LF driver, which is optimized for smooth frequency response and seamless transition through the crossover point.

A welded tab is provided for seismic restraint, and two steel T-Bar support channels facilitate installation to a standard tile ceiling. A steel split C-ring is also provided. The integral 70-/100-volt line transformer is rated to a maximum of 40 watts, and power is adjustable via a recessed rotary switch on the front bezel, which also allows selection of 40, 20, 10, and 5 watt taps.

About the EAW CIS400 Ceiling-Mounted Two-Way Speaker

The EAW CIS400 is a high-performance, two-way ceiling speaker engineered for professional distributed audio systems in commercial installations where both audio quality and aesthetic discretion are priorities. It is designed to deliver clear, intelligible sound for background music and speech reinforcement in environments such as retail stores, corporate offices, hotels, restaurants, and upscale residential projects. The speaker utilizes a dual-concentric coaxial driver design, where a 4-inch low-frequency driver is integrated with a 1-inch high-frequency compression driver, ensuring precise sonic alignment and a consistent, wide dispersion pattern directly beneath the speaker. This coaxial configuration is ideal for ceiling mounting, as it provides uniform coverage and minimizes off-axis tonal coloration.

A key feature of the CIS400 is its sophisticated acoustic tuning capabilities, which allow installers to optimize performance for the specific mounting conditions. It includes selectable high-frequency EQ contours and a Boundary Compensation Control (BCC) that adjusts the low-frequency response based on whether the speaker is mounted flush in a ceiling (infinite baffle) or in a backbox, ensuring accurate bass reproduction in any scenario. The speaker is built into a durable, low-profile metal grille assembly designed for paintable integration into standard ceiling tiles. With its high power handling, high sensitivity, and 70V/100V/8-ohm transformer with multiple tap settings, the CIS400 offers the flexibility, sound quality, and reliability required for high-end commercial audio installations.
