About the EAW DX810 - 8x10 Digital Matrix Mixer and Processor

The EAW DX810 is a sophisticated digital matrix mixer and processor designed to serve as the central control hub for complex fixed installation sound systems in venues such as performing arts centers, stadiums, corporate facilities, and houses of worship. This rack-mounted unit combines extensive digital signal processing with a highly flexible 8-input by 10-output analog and digital audio matrix, allowing system designers to route any input to any output with independent level and processing control. Its core functionality extends beyond simple mixing to include comprehensive loudspeaker management, providing each output with dedicated processing tools such as parametric equalization, crossover filters, dynamics control, and delay, enabling precise tuning and optimization of each zone or loudspeaker within a large-scale distributed system.

Operational control and configuration are managed through intuitive, manufacturer-specific software running on a connected Windows computer. This graphical user interface provides a drag-and-drop environment for designing system topology, setting up mixing matrices, and configuring all DSP parameters. The DX810 is engineered for reliability in 24/7 operation, featuring redundant power supplies and network connectivity for remote monitoring and control, which is essential for managing systems in hard-to-access locations. The unit supports various control protocols, allowing it to integrate with third-party control systems for seamless automation of presets, volume levels, and source selection based on schedules or user input.

As a cornerstone of a professional installed audio system, the EAW DX810 offers exceptional processing power and routing flexibility in a 2U chassis. It is designed to handle the demanding requirements of multi-zone applications where different audio sources—such as paging, background music, and program audio—need to be independently managed and distributed to numerous speaker zones with tailored processing for each. For system integrators and consultants, the DX810 represents a powerful, scalable, and reliable solution for delivering clear, intelligible, and well-controlled sound across complex environments.
