About the BSS Audio Soundweb BLU-32 Signal Processor

The BSS Audio Soundweb BLU-32 is a compact, networked digital signal processor designed to provide sophisticated audio routing, mixing, and processing within the larger Soundweb London ecosystem. This unit packs a powerful DSP engine into a single rack unit, offering a configurable array of analog and digital audio inputs and outputs that can be freely patched and processed via intuitive drag-and-drop software. It is engineered for installed sound applications such as conference centers, performing arts venues, hospitality spaces, and broadcast facilities where reliable, high-fidelity audio management is required. The processor supports a comprehensive suite of audio tools, including parametric EQs, dynamics processors, delays, matrix mixers, and AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation), allowing system designers to create tailored signal chains for everything from simple microphone conditioning to complex multi-zone systems.

Integration and control are facilitated through the Soundweb London designer software, which provides a graphical environment for configuring the device's signal flow and processing blocks without the need for low-level programming. The BLU-32 connects to a control network via Ethernet, enabling it to be part of a distributed system where multiple BLU devices can be linked and managed from a single computer. This network also allows for control integration with third-party systems using protocols like HiQnet London Architect or simple TCP/IP strings, making it possible to tie audio functions into room automation systems. The unit's front panel features a clear display and navigation controls for basic status monitoring and local adjustments, though primary configuration is intended to be done remotely via software.

Built for 24/7 operation, the BLU-32 features a robust metal chassis and a universal power supply. Its analog I/O is balanced and utilizes high-quality converters to maintain pristine audio quality. The device includes digital audio interfaces such as Dante or AES3, depending on the specific model variant, enabling seamless integration into modern networked audio infrastructures. As a member of the scalable Soundweb London family, the BLU-32 offers a balance of processing power, I/O density, and cost-effectiveness, making it a versatile building block for creating reliable, software-defined audio systems of virtually any size and complexity.
