Description

The NXE Series 4-Channel Networkable Multi-Mode Power Amplifier from Ashly comes pre-installed with OPDAC4 internal 4-channel DAC with selectable HPF and OPDante Dante Network Audio Interface cards. The OPDante card enables access to digital audio networks at low latencies (83.3 μs) over fast Ethernet. It can be installed in the rear card slot of nXe series amplifiers. Signal can be routed from other Dante enabled devices by simply connecting a Cat5e or Cat6 cable to the card's primary or secondary (redundant) Ethernet ports. The amplifier is capable of driving 2 Ohms loads at full power and offers a maximum rated output power of 1500W per channel at Low Z and 70V modes, and 1250W in 100V mode. In addition, the amplifier is suitable for use in performance venues, stadiums, arenas, convention centers as well as schools, store fronts, and places of worship. The multi-mode amplifier features an automatic but defeatable sleep mode consuming <1W, and instant standby mode controlled by contact closure or software. A switch mode power supply can auto-detect 120 or 240 VAC mains, and a Neutrik powerCON is used for the AC cord. Each channel features a selectable output mode of Low Z, 70V, or 100V, an 80 Hz high-pass filter, input limiter, and input gain settings of 26 dB, 32 dB, 38 dB, or 1.4V. Each channel comes with a remote DC level control. The amplifier comes with Neutrik XLR/TRS combo jack and Euroblock input connectors and Neutrik speakON output connectors. The unit features a front panel power switch and level controls that can be disabled. The LEDs indicate Protect, Sleep, Disabled, Com, and Bridge mode status, as well as Temperature, Output Current, Output Signal, and Clipping/Mute status per channel. In addition, the power amplifier features an Ethernet control with a real-time clock for event scheduling. Read more

About the Ashly nXE1.54BD Network Power Amplifier

The Ashly nXE1.54 is a high-density, network-enabled four-channel power amplifier that combines immense power output with the comprehensive processing capabilities of Ashly's Protea DSP platform. Engineered for the most demanding large-scale sound reinforcement applications, this amplifier delivers a total of 6000 watts, with each channel capable of 1500 watts into 4 ohms or 900 watts into 8 ohms, and supports 70V/100V constant-voltage operation for distributed systems. This makes it suitable for powering large main arrays, subwoofers, or extensive distributed networks in stadiums, large houses of worship, outdoor festivals, and major touring productions. The integrated Protea DSP provides per-channel processing including parametric EQ, crossover filters, dynamics processing, and delay, enabling complete system optimization and loudspeaker protection directly within the amplifier, eliminating the need for external processors.

Network connectivity is a cornerstone of the amplifier's functionality, allowing for complete remote management and monitoring over a standard Ethernet connection. System administrators can access the unit via a web browser or Ashly's software to adjust parameters in real-time, monitor performance metrics such as output level, thermal status, and impedance, mute channels, and recall preset configurations for different events. This IP-based control, supporting protocols like SNMP and Telnet, facilitates seamless integration into larger building management or third-party control systems and enables proactive system diagnostics and troubleshooting from any location. The amplifier's design represents a convergence of raw power and intelligent system control, significantly reducing system complexity and rack space in large installations.

Built for uncompromising reliability in continuous, high-output operation, the nXE1.54 features a robust power supply, efficient Class-H amplification technology, comprehensive protection circuitry, and a variable-speed fan for effective thermal management. Its 3U rack-mountable steel chassis is designed for heavy-duty use, with a front panel providing clear status indicators. By merging massive multi-channel amplification, high-resolution networked DSP, and intelligent control into a single unit, the Ashly nXE1.54 provides a powerful, scalable, and future-proof audio backbone for the largest and most critical professional sound reinforcement applications.
