The Blackmagic Design BMD-CINTELSNAUDKCSCAN is an integrated audio and KeyKode reader accessory for the Cintel Film Scanner. It enables the simultaneous digitization of both the visual image and the associated audio tracks or timecode data from film during the scanning process. This module is essential for archival projects, film restoration, and digital intermediate workflows where capturing a complete, synchronized digital copy of the original film element—including its optical or magnetic soundtracks and edge code information—is required.

The accessory mounts directly onto the Cintel Scanner and features dedicated sensors to read the analog audio tracks (mono or stereo) printed on the film alongside the images. It also includes a high-resolution optical sensor to scan the film's KeyKode or other machine-readable edge codes (like Arrilite code). This allows the scanner's software to automatically log each frame's unique identification number, enabling frame-accurate conforming of the scanned images back to an original edit decision list (EDL) or for precise asset management in a digital archive.
