A 4000W peak output onboard amplifier delivers low end down to 35Hz at up to 143dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level). A compact enclosure and its direct radiation operating principle allow the SXP218B to deliver its powerful bass where space is a concern. The design of the 18" drivers coupled with eight reflex ports make the SXP218B extremely efficient while maximizing output and reducing distortion to deliver signature Martin quality audio.

Along with integrated power comes DSP (Digital Signal Processing) functions like parametric EQ, delay, mute, gain, and preset which can even be controlled via Ethernet from a PC or Windows tablet running Martin's VU-NET software. Dante provides distribution and control with a single CAT5 connection, maintaining audio quality no matter the length of the cable run.

Multi-laminate birch ply with a rugged poly coating form the cabinet for the dual 18" speakers that are protected from the outside world by a Zintec (zinc-coated steel) grille to ensure reliability show after show. The tour-grade enclosure features twin grab handles, skids, M10 flying inserts, and an M20 socket for pole-mounting point source loudspeakers.
