The Shure UA870 is an active 1/2 wave directional antenna designed for use with select Shure UHF wireless receivers. The antenna features a cardioid reception pattern which enhances reception of the desired coverage area while eliminating RF signals outside the coverage area. An on-board RF signal amplifier compensates for signal loss during long cable runs. The amplifier features a switch allowing users to select between 3 or 10dB gain. The UA870 requires remote 12Vdc power via connected U4 receiver or antenna distribution system. The antenna is completely weather resistant and can be mounted on a microphone stand, suspended from the ceiling, or mounted to a wall using the integrated swivel adapter bracket.
