The CMS 603ICT BM is built on Tannoy's third-generation Ceiling Monitor System technology (CMS 3.0), featuring a proprietary 6.5-inch ICT (Inductive Coupling Technology) point-source driver. The ICT driver uses electromagnetic coupling to wirelessly drive the tweeter, eliminating the need for a crossover and minimizing the common failures associated with high-frequency drivers. The result is a highly reliable speaker with consistent, wide-bandwidth sound dispersion, ensuring excellent off-axis performance and voice intelligibility. The unit is constructed with a durable mineral-loaded polypropylene cone and housed in an acoustically enhanced zinc-plated steel back can for optimized low-frequency performance.
A multi-tap, low-insertion loss 60W line transformer allows for flexible installation in 70V and 100V line systems, with settings conveniently accessible via a front-panel switch. For easy integration into low-impedance systems, a 16-ohm input is also available. The speaker is supplied with a paintable, magnetic steel mesh grille for a discreet and customizable look.
