The NE4800MS is a highly capable DSP housed in a secure, tamper-proof 2RU chassis with no front-panel controls. The core is a powerful 32-bit floating-point SHARC processor that provides a wide range of audio processing tools, controlled via Ethernet or RS-232 with Ashly's Protea NE software. The "MS" designation signifies the addition of a 4-channel mic input card with switchable phantom power and an 8-channel AES3 digital output card. These factory-installed cards occupy three of the four expansion bays, leaving one bay open for further network audio options like Dante™ or CobraNet™.
