About the Ashly PEMA 8125 Pema 8-Channel 125W Powered Processor
The Ashly PEMA 8125 is an all-in-one powered audio processor designed to simplify and consolidate system design for small to medium-scale commercial installations. This unit combines an eight-channel power amplifier, a digital signal processor, and a microphone/line mixer into a single 2U rack-mountable chassis. Each of the eight amplifier channels delivers efficient Class D power, specifically configured to directly drive 70V/100V constant-voltage speaker lines, making it an immediately deployable solution for background music and paging systems in restaurants, retail stores, offices, and schools. The integrated design eliminates the need for separate amplifiers, transformers, and external DSP units, reducing installation time, component count, and potential points of failure.
At the heart of the PEMA 8125 is its comprehensive DSP and mixing capability. It features eight input channels with flexible source assignment, including dedicated microphone inputs with phantom power. The onboard DSP provides per-output-zone processing, including parametric EQ, delay, and limiting, allowing each of the eight amplifier outputs to be individually tuned for its specific speaker load and acoustic environment. System control and configuration are managed via a front-panel display and knob interface or through optional PC software, enabling the creation and recall of presets for different operating modes or times of day.
Built for reliability in continuous operation, the PEMA 8125 includes protection against faults such as short circuits and thermal overload. Its integrated approach offers a significant space saving and a streamlined signal path. By merging amplification, processing, and mixing into a single, purpose-built device, the Ashly PEMA 8125 provides a cost-effective, efficient, and user-friendly solution for integrators designing straightforward yet professional multi-zone audio systems.
