Meyer Sound ST-812 12" Replacement Driver Speaker

The Meyer Sound ST-812 is a precision-engineered 12-inch low-frequency transducer designed as a direct replacement driver for specific Meyer Sound loudspeaker models, ensuring these systems continue to perform to their original factory specifications. It is not a generic aftermarket speaker but an authentic OEM component developed and manufactured by Meyer Sound with the same rigorous quality control and acoustic design principles as the original equipment. The driver is engineered to integrate seamlessly into the proprietary acoustic architecture and enclosure tuning of the host cabinet, which includes specific Thiele-Small parameters, suspension compliance, and magnetic motor structures. This guarantees that the repaired loudspeaker will restore its intended frequency response, power handling, dynamic range, and sonic character without compromise.

Constructed for exceptional durability and performance in professional touring and installed sound applications, the ST-812 features a robust design with a high-temperature voice coil, a stiff yet lightweight cone material, and a progressive suspension system. These elements work in concert to provide high efficiency, controlled linear excursion, and reliable operation under high-power, continuous-use conditions typical of Meyer Sound systems. The driver's design is critical for maintaining the system's overall phase coherence and transient response, as the original crossover and processing presets within Meyer's Galileo or System Controllers are tailored specifically to this driver's electromechanical behavior.

Utilizing this genuine replacement part is essential for preserving the long-term value and performance integrity of the loudspeaker system. It ensures that the repaired cabinet will match its counterparts in an array perfectly, maintaining uniform coverage and frequency response. The ST-812 exemplifies Meyer Sound's commitment to a vertically integrated service model, where every component is designed to work as part of a holistic system. For system owners and technicians, installing this driver is the definitive method to restore a valuable Meyer Sound cabinet to its certified, broadcast-ready performance level, safeguarding the investment in high-fidelity sound reinforcement.
