About the YAMAHA MY8-ADDA96 - 8 Channel Analog I/O Card
The Yamaha MY8-ADDA96 is a standard Mini-YGDAI expansion card that provides eight channels of balanced analog input and eight channels of balanced analog output in a single card slot. Designed for professional audio environments, this card features high-performance 24-bit AD/DA converters operating at sample rates up to 96 kHz, delivering superior sound quality for both live sound and installation applications. The card utilizes Euroblock connectors, which offer optimum reliability and ease of connection for permanent wiring installations, making it ideal for fixed audio systems in houses of worship, performance venues, convention centers, and broadcast facilities.
The MY8-ADDA96 is compatible with a wide range of Yamaha digital mixing consoles and DME digital mixing engines. Supported host devices include the PM5D, DM2000, 02R96, DM1000, 01V96, M7CL, LS9 series, DME64N, and DME24N, among others. A sliding mode switch on the card allows the user to configure compatibility as either "Generic" (MY8-ADDA96 native mode), "AE96" (MY8-AE96 emulation for 88.2/96 kHz operation), or "AE" (MY8-AE emulation for 44.1/48 kHz operation), depending on the host device requirements.
The card consumes very little power, placing minimal burden on the host system. This low power operation allows up to four MY8-ADDA96 cards to be installed simultaneously in a DME64N, providing a total of 32 analog inputs and 32 analog outputs. Maximum input and output levels reach +24 dBu before clipping, offering substantial headroom for professional line-level signals. The card is manufactured in Japan and includes a data sheet and owner's manual available for download from Yamaha.
