Juice Goose iP PD1-4 80A Web Based Power Controller

$0.00 -

The Juice Goose iP PD1-4 provides web based control and monitoring for four separate twenty amp circuits (eighty amps total) in a single chassis. This microcontroller based power distribution device that can be accessed via internet or intranet communications using Ethernet based HTML, TCP or UDP communications. It also has RS232 connectivity.

With this remote access, four individual circuits can be turned on and off and monitored for electrical current (amperage). Current draw can be monitored from 0.2 to 20.0 amps per power POD.

The iP PD1-4 can be controlled by the on board web server graphic interface that can be accessed by any web browser. It can also be remote controlled by TCP, UDP or RS232 connection to commercial or proprietary control systems.

About the Juice Goose iP PD1-4 80A Web Based Power Controller

The Juice Goose iP PD1-4 is an advanced, network-manageable power distribution unit designed for the precise control and monitoring of connected equipment in professional audio-visual, broadcast, and IT rack installations. This unit provides four individually controllable AC outlets, each capable of being switched on, off, or rebooted remotely via a built-in web interface accessible over a standard Ethernet network. This functionality is critical for managing systems in inaccessible or distributed locations, allowing technicians to perform power cycling and sequencing without physical access to the rack, thereby reducing downtime and streamlining maintenance workflows. At its core, the PD1-4 incorporates robust relay-based switching capable of handling a high collective current load, making it suitable for powering amplifiers, processors, servers, and other essential gear while offering protection against in-rush currents.

Beyond basic switching, the device features sophisticated current monitoring for the entire unit, displaying real-time amperage draw through its web interface. This allows system administrators to monitor power consumption trends and identify potential overload conditions before they lead to circuit breaker trips or equipment failure. The web interface itself is designed for intuitive use, providing a clear dashboard for outlet control, status indication, and the configuration of user access levels to maintain security. For integration into larger control ecosystems, the unit supports industry-standard protocols, enabling it to be incorporated into centralized monitoring and automation systems for venue-wide or multi-site power management.

Constructed with a heavy-duty metal chassis, the iP PD1-4 is built for reliability in 24/7 operational environments. Its design emphasizes clean power distribution with noise-filtered outlets to help protect sensitive electronic equipment from line noise and interference. By offering web-based intelligence in a rugged power distribution form factor, this unit serves as a foundational component for modern, networked technical infrastructures. It provides the critical link between physical power management and digital network control, ensuring operational resilience and enabling proactive system management for broadcast facilities, performance venues, corporate AV rooms, and data closets.
