About the NRG Field Pro Battery Belt

The NRG 87014-A Field-Pro Series is a wearable 12V battery belt designed for professional mobile videographers, run-and-gun newsgatherers (ENG), and remote field production crews.

Because running traditional shoulder-mounted broadcast cameras, portable lighting setups, and wireless audio receivers historically drained standard onboard batteries in minutes, ENG crews required a high-capacity power source that didn't add excessive, unbalanced weight directly to the camera rig. The Field-Pro Battery Belt solves this by shifting the heavy 7.9-pound battery mass to the operator's waist. It utilizes rugged, high-density Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) cells to deliver an immense 86 Watt-hours of continuous 12-volt power directly to the gear via heavy-duty umbilical cables.
