RME Digiface AVB 256-Channel Mobile AVB/USB Audio Interface

$1,149.00

The RME Digiface AVB 256-Channel Mobile AVB/USB Audio Interface is a compact, bus-powered device that transfers up to 256 channels of audio between a computer and an AVB (Audio Video Bridging) network, making it a powerful solution for large-scale audio networking applications.

The Digiface AVB acts as a high-channel-count bridge between a Mac or Windows PC and an IEEE 802.1 BA compliant AVB audio network via a single Gigabit Ethernet cable. It is a glimpse into the future of audio network technology, enabling synchronized and prioritized streaming of audio data over standard network infrastructure. Equipped with a USB 3.0 port, it provides up to 128 channels of input and 128 channels of output at sample rates up to 192 kHz.

The unit features RME's powerful DSP-based TotalMix FX mixer for unlimited routing and monitoring options, though it does not include DSP-based effects like EQ or reverb. The accompanying software includes an AVDECC controller to discover and manage all AVB devices on the network. Its small size, light weight, and bus-powered operation make it highly portable for use in broadcast, theatre, and large concert productions.
