The Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio Pro HD is an integrated live production switcher and broadcast hardware control panel designed for both broadcasters and A/V professionals. It combines a professional control surface with a powerful 8-input switcher in a compact form factor that is suitable for location use or rack mounting. The hardware panel includes high-quality buttons, knobs, and a T-bar fader, which allows for fast, hands-on control of camera input selection, transitions, and effects during live, fast-paced productions.

This versatile switcher features a total of eight independent video inputs, comprised of four 3G-SDI and four HDMI inputs, all of which support various SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. A key feature is the automatic frame re-synchronizers on all inputs, which means that cameras and other sources not genlocked to the switcher can be used without causing glitches or needing expensive external equipment. This flexibility makes it ideal for mixed environments using both professional broadcast cameras and consumer devices like laptops or game consoles.

Beyond basic switching, the ATEM Television Studio Pro HD includes a robust set of features, such as a built-in 10-channel Fairlight audio mixer, an upstream keyer with advanced chroma key capabilities for green screen work, and two downstream keyers for adding graphics and logos. It also has a Digital Video Effects (DVE) processor for creating picture-in-picture effects and DVE-powered transitions, plus a media pool that can store up to 20 full-frame RGBA still graphics. Multiview output is available via both SDI and HDMI, allowing a single monitor to display all sources, preview, and program outputs with custom labels and audio metering.
