About the Blackmagic Design BMD-SWPANELCCU4 ATEM Camera Control Panel

The Blackmagic Design ATEM Camera Control Panel is a dedicated hardware interface designed to provide broadcast engineers and technical directors with precise, centralized control over compatible Blackmagic studio cameras from within the production control room. This panel empowers operators to make critical adjustments to multiple cameras remotely, ensuring visual consistency and optimal image quality across a live production without needing to physically access each camera. It offers intuitive, tactile controls for core camera parameters, including master black level, iris, gain, and detailed color correction adjustments like lift, gamma, and gain for both the color and black-and-white channels. This level of control is essential for matching the look and exposure of all cameras on a scene, which is a fundamental requirement for professional multi-camera broadcasts, live events, and studio productions.

Built into a compact, desktop-friendly metal chassis, the panel connects directly to an ATEM production switcher (such as the ATEM Constellation series) via Ethernet. Once connected, it can address and control cameras that are linked through the switcher's camera control system, such as those using the Blackmagic Studio Camera series with fiber or coax connections. The panel's layout is logically organized, grouping related functions together for efficient operation. By externalizing and streamlining camera control, this panel significantly enhances operational efficiency, allowing a single operator to manage the technical image quality of an entire camera fleet from a single location, thereby improving workflow speed and ensuring a polished, cohesive on-air look.
