The Control4 C4-Z2IO is a wireless Zigbee input/output (I/O) interface module designed to expand the capabilities of a Control4 smart home system by providing a versatile bridge for low-voltage, dry-contact devices. This compact device connects to the Control4 ecosystem via its built-in Zigbee radio, joining the system's robust mesh network without the need for dedicated control wiring back to the main controller. Its wireless nature makes it ideal for retrofit applications where running new wires is challenging. Programmed by a Control4 dealer using Composer Pro software, the Z2IO becomes a seamless part of the home's intelligence, enabling sophisticated automation scenarios like "if the patio door opens after sunset, turn on the patio lights" or "trigger the fountain pump when the landscape lighting turns on."
