Its defining function is "reclocking," a critical process where it extracts the original clock signal from the incoming data stream, strips away accumulated jitter and timing inaccuracies introduced by cables and previous equipment, and then retransmits a pristine, freshly timed signal on each output. This ensures signal stability and compliance with broadcast standards over long cable runs and complex signal paths.

Engineered for reliability in mission-critical environments, the module features advanced equalization on its input to compensate for signal degradation from long input cables, allowing it to recover a clean signal from marginal sources.
