The Epson ELPLM09 is a professional middle-throw zoom lens designed for Epson's Pro L Series projectors (up to 12,000 lumens) and Pro G7000 Series, delivering high-quality, large-format images suitable for rental houses, auditoriums, houses of worship, and large-scale permanent installations. This interchangeable lens features powered zoom and focus adjustments, enabling operators to fine-tune image size and sharpness remotely via the projector's control panel or remote control without needing physical access to the unit. With a zoom ratio of 1.0 to 1.6x, the ELPLM09 provides significant framing flexibility, allowing technicians to adjust image size on site without swapping lenses.

A key differentiator of this lens is its performance variability based on the host projector's LCD panel size. On 9,000 to 12,000-lumen models using a 1.03-inch LCD (such as the Pro L1500 series), the lens delivers a throw ratio of 1.57 to 2.56:1 with powered lens shift of ±60% vertically and ±18% horizontally. When mounted on up to 8,000-lumen models using a 0.76-inch LCD (such as the Pro G7000 series), the throw ratio shifts to 2.16 to 3.48:1 with enhanced lens shift of ±67% vertically and ±30% horizontally. This dual specification design ensures the lens can adapt to multiple projector chassis within Epson's ecosystem. Additional format support includes WXGA at 2.16 to 3.48:1, SXGA+ at 1.62 to 2.64:1, and XGA at 2.59 to 4.18:1. Constructed with a glass aperture of f/1.8 to f/2.5 and a focal length range of 36 mm to 57.4 mm, the ELPLM09 supports screen sizes up to 300 inches diagonal.
