About the Clear-Com RS-501 1-Channel Beltpack Intercom Station

The Clear-Com RS-501 is a professional single-channel beltpack intercom station that serves as a mobile communication hub for crew members in live production environments. It is designed to be worn on a user's belt and connects directly to a Clear-Com two-wire party-line intercom system, providing clear, hands-free communication through a connected headset. This rugged and reliable unit features a large, easy-to-use rotary volume control, a momentary push-to-talk (PTT) switch, and a call button to signal other stations on the party line. Its straightforward operation makes it an essential tool for stagehands, camera operators, lighting technicians, and other production staff who need to stay in constant contact with the director, stage manager, or other team members during a show or event.

Constructed with a durable metal chassis, the RS-501 is built to withstand the physical demands of touring, broadcast, and theater use. It is powered directly from the intercom line, requiring no external batteries or power supply when used with a compatible Clear-Com power source and main station. The beltpack includes a standard 4-pin XLR connector for connecting Clear-Com style headsets and a 3-pin XLR connector for interfacing with the party-line system. By offering a simple, robust, and effective personal communication link, the Clear-Com RS-501 facilitates the coordinated execution of complex productions, ensuring that every member of the technical team can hear instructions and respond instantly, which is vital for the smooth operation of any live performance or broadcast.
