Description

Decode and distribute high-resolution, low-latency video from a mobile location such as a production van or remote facility within the LiveU Central cloud platform environment with the LU2000 Dual HD Output Decoder Server. This 1 RU rackmount server provides HEVC/H.264 decoding via wired Ethernet and video distribution via two SDI outputs. The LU2000 supports output and retransmission of HD video via RTMP, MPEG-TS, LiveU Matrix, and NDI. The decoder works within the LiveU Central cloud and can collaborate with LiveU technology such as LU800 series units, and it can be upgraded with a quad SDI output option. Read more

About the LiveU LU2000 Video Decoder

The LiveU LU2000 is a professional 1U rack-mount video decoder server that serves as the studio-side receiver for LiveU's bonded cellular field units (such as the LU300, LU600, or LU800). It receives the multiple cellular, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet data streams transmitted by the field unit via the proprietary LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) protocol, perfectly recombines the packets, and decodes the stream back into a seamless, low-latency video feed for live broadcast.

Because modern newsrooms and live event productions often utilize a mix of legacy and modern workflows, the LU2000 is highly versatile. It can output traditional baseband HD-SDI video directly into a hardware production switcher, or it can transcode and distribute the feed over a local area network via NDI, RTMP, or MPEG-TS for digital streaming and cloud-based production.
