CDD (Coaxial Differential Dispersion) technology delivers more consistent audience coverage than conventional speakers with a fixed coverage pattern. The innovative CDD technology also allows the speaker to achieve “point source” summation of the HF and LF sections which eliminates the off-axis variations in frequency response often found in non-coaxial designs.

The CDD-LIVE 8 is equipped with a 2-channel Class D amplifier, DSP and Dante™ digital audio networking, a combination that simplifies setup, enhances control, and eliminates amp racks. The built-in amplifier provides 1000 watts LF and 300 watts HF peak output to the drivers and operates on voltages from 100-240V, 50/60Hz from its auto-ranging power supply.

The DSP functions include Delay, Muting, Parametric EQ, Gain and Preset Selection and are controllable over Ethernet from a PC or Windows® tablet via intuitive VU-NET™ proprietary software. Plug and Play presets as well as a user-defined preset can be selected from the rear panel, instead of using computer control, for simpler setups. An Ethernet connector allows Dante signal input for digital audio distribution and control over a single CAT5 cable.
