The Blackmagic MultiDock 10G is an advanced docking solution housed in a compact, all-metal 1U chassis designed for installation in a standard professional equipment rack. It supports up to four independent 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s SSDs or HDDs, allowing users to mount all their media from a shoot simultaneously. The key technical feature is an independent SATA driver chip for each disk slot, which prevents slowdowns and ensures fast data transfer speeds for all four drives simultaneously. The unit connects to a host computer (Mac or Windows) using a single 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, and no special software or drivers are required as it uses the operating system's built-in drivers. A unique rear-panel switch also allows the dock to be split, providing access to two disks on one USB-C port and the other two disks on a second USB-C port, ideal for dual-computer use or specific recording workflows with Blackmagic's HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR.
