This capability makes it suitable for use with specific DMC-series DM 8G+ input and output cards, such as the DMC-4K-C or DMC-4K-CO-HD models, by connecting the DM-PSU-8's power ports to the I/O cards' POE IN ports using standard CAT5e patch cables. The DM-PSU-8 is not compatible with the higher-power PoDM+ standard, which requires a separate 'PLUS' model power supply for devices that need more power. For user convenience and simple troubleshooting, the front panel features an array of green LEDs that clearly indicate when power is active and a compatible device is properly connected and drawing power on each of the eight ports.
