About the Shure DB15 Backplate for Axient Digital ADX5D

The Shure DB15 Backplate is a dedicated accessory that transforms the Shure Axient Digital ADX5D portable receiver into a professional rack-mounted component. This precision-engineered metal plate is designed to securely house two ADX5D receivers side-by-side within a single 1U rack space, creating a streamlined and robust dual-channel rack system. The backplate provides the necessary structural support and proper ventilation while consolidating the receivers into a standard 19-inch rack format, which is essential for permanent installations, broadcast trucks, and touring racks where equipment density and organization are critical.

Installation is straightforward, requiring the user to attach each ADX5D receiver to the backplate using integrated mounting points and supplied hardware. Once assembled, the combined unit slides into a standard equipment rack and can be secured with front-panel screws. The design maintains full access to all receiver controls, connectors, and displays, ensuring no operational functionality is compromised. The backplate also includes integrated cable guides and management features to help organize and secure the antenna and data cabling, contributing to a clean and professional installation.

By utilizing the DB15 Backplate, system integrators and audio technicians can maximize rack space efficiency, improve system reliability through secure mounting, and present a clean, professional appearance for high-end wireless microphone systems. This accessory underscores the modular and system-oriented design philosophy of the Axient Digital ecosystem, allowing users to adapt the versatile portable receiver for the demands of fixed or large-scale touring applications where rack stability and organization are paramount.
