About the Shure P9HW PSM 900 Hardwired Bodypack Receiver

The Shure P9HW is a wired two-channel stereo bodypack receiver from the PSM 900 series, designed for musicians and audio professionals who want the clarity and feedback rejection of in-ear monitoring without needing wireless mobility. It is particularly well suited for drummers, keyboard players, and stationary performers at mixing desks, as well as for live stage, theater, rehearsal spaces, and houses of worship.

Unlike traditional floor wedges that can cause stage clutter and feedback issues, the P9HW connects directly to a mixing console via its balanced Lemo input and included Y-splitter cable, delivering pristine audio directly to your ears. From there, you can listen to one or two channels from the console and use the onboard controls to craft your perfect monitor mix. The MixMode feature lets you blend two mono inputs into a custom mono signal with individual volume control for each, which is ideal for mixing a click track with band feed. Alternatively, Stereo mode allows you to adjust the left and right balance for a true stereo listening experience.

The P9HW puts comprehensive sound shaping tools at your fingertips. A four-band parametric EQ allows precise tonal adjustments to compensate for different earphones or personal preferences, while the volume limiter lets you set a maximum level to protect your hearing from sudden volume spikes. The large LCD screen provides intuitive menu-based navigation, and dedicated knobs make real-time mix adjustments effortless during performance. Housed in a compact, rugged aluminum chassis, the P9HW is built for the road and clips securely to a belt or guitar strap for convenient stage use.
