Telex RTS BP-325 2-Channel Portable Beltpack Station

$0.00 -

Styled in black, the Telex RTS BP-325 is a 2-channel portable beltpack station designed to work in conjunction with RTS Two-Wire intercom systems and the appropriate, dynamic headset mic. It facilitates conversations across the air-waves in one of two fashions: you can either hold down the Talk button—which instantiates momentary mode, allowing you to remain inaudible when you're not pressing the button—or, conversely, tap the Talk button a few times, which will occasion the mechanism to latch into an ever-on position. Be advised, if you instantiate latching mode, everything you say will be heard until such time as you turn it off.

About the Telex RTS BP-325 2-Channel Portable Beltpack Station

The Telex RTS BP-325 is a rugged, professional two-channel portable beltpack station designed to provide flexible and reliable communication within an RTS matrix intercom system. It serves as a personal interface for technicians, talent, stage managers, and production staff who require mobile, full-duplex party-line communication with the capability to monitor and participate in two separate channels simultaneously. Its compact and durable construction, featuring a robust metal chassis and sealed membrane switch panel, makes it ideal for demanding environments such as live event production, broadcast ENG/EFP, theatrical productions, and industrial applications where equipment may be subjected to physical stress, moisture, or dirt. The unit is typically powered directly from the intercom matrix or an external power supply via its multi-pin cable connection, ensuring seamless integration into existing RTS infrastructure.

Functionally, the BP-325 offers independent volume controls and call signaling buttons for its two communication channels, allowing the user to balance audio levels or prioritize one conversation over another. Each channel can be assigned to different matrix ports, such as a dedicated stage management channel and a general production channel, providing clear organizational structure in complex communication networks. The beltpack features a high-quality electret microphone input with a built-in preamplifier and a sturdy locking 4-pin XLR connector for attaching compatible headsets or boom microphones, delivering clear audio transmission even in noisy environments. Its dual headphone outputs allow for shared listening, enabling a producer and assistant or a translator and their subject to monitor the same feeds from a single beltpack.

The design emphasizes user convenience and operational efficiency, with large, backlit tactile buttons for channel selection and call signaling that are easy to operate by touch in low-light conditions. The BP-325 connects to the system via a standard RTS-style multi-pin cable (often a 4-pin XLR or EP-3 connector), which carries power, audio, and control signals. Its reputation for durability and clear audio performance has made it a long-standing staple in professional intercom toolkits, providing a trusted, hardwired communication link for personnel who need reliable, hands-free, and mobile connectivity to the core intercom matrix during critical productions and operations.
