Blackmagic Design BMD-BDLKDVQDHDMI4K DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder

$605.00

Ingest high-resolution 4K video and audio for streaming or editing applications with the DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder Capture Card from Blackmagic Design. The DeckLink Quad is a PCIe card that features four HDMI 2.0b inputs that provide support for resolutions up to DCI 4K60. Additionally, the DeckLink Quad supports eight channels of embedded 24-bit 48 kHz audio.

The DeckLink Quad offers flexible format and system support, letting you work with popular compressed video formats such as ProRes, AVCHD, XDCAM, and DNxHD, as well as up to 12-bit uncompressed video. When working with uncompressed video, all images are pixel-for-pixel identical to the source, without any generational loss. This lets you get sharper keying with green screens, cleaner compositions, superior color correction, and more. Support for common file formats provides ready-to-edit files for use in popular editing, effects, and design software applications.

The DeckLink Quad is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux based workstations. Drivers and utility software are available on the manufacturer's website.

About the Blackmagic Design BMD-BDLKDVQDHDMI4K DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder is a specialized, high-density PCI Express capture card designed to simultaneously record or stream from four independent HDMI video sources. It is engineered for multi-camera production workflows where multiple HDMI feeds need to be ingested into a computer in real-time, such as in live event streaming, e-sports broadcasting, lecture capture, surveillance monitoring, or multi-viewer recording setups. Unlike standard capture cards that may handle one or two inputs, this card consolidates four full-bandwidth HDMI 2.0 inputs onto a single PCIe card, simplifying system design and saving valuable slots in a production computer.

A key strength of this card is its ability to handle each input as a completely independent channel, supporting resolutions up to 4Kp30 (2160p30) or 1080p60 on all four inputs simultaneously. This allows for the recording of four separate 1080p60 streams or four 4Kp30 streams to different files or as isolated tracks within professional software like DaVinci Resolve, vMix, OBS, or Wirecast. The card captures video with high quality, supporting 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 color for accurate color reproduction, which is vital for post-production work. It also captures embedded HDMI audio from each source, ensuring perfect synchronization.

Targeted at professional broadcast engineers, live production studios, and content creation facilities, the DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder is a workhorse for multi-camera HDMI workflows. It requires a powerful computer with a fast CPU, ample RAM, and high-speed storage to handle the data rate of four concurrent video streams. By providing reliable, frame-accurate capture of multiple HDMI sources on a single card, it offers an efficient and scalable solution for building sophisticated multi-camera recording and streaming systems.
