Furman HR-6 Personal Headphone Remote Mixing Stations
The Furman HR-6 Personal Headphone Remote Mixing Station is a compact, user-controlled mixer designed to be part of a larger headphone distribution system, specifically working in tandem with the Furman HDS-6 distribution unit. It allows individual musicians and performers in a studio or live setting to create their own custom headphone or monitor mixes without requiring assistance from the sound engineer at the main console.
The HR-6 unit receives audio signals and power from the rackmount HDS-6 via two standard Cat 5e Ethernet cables, which simplifies cabling and allows for flexible placement. Each remote station is equipped with five individual volume controls (pots): four for dedicated mono channels (e.g., individual instruments or vocal feeds) and one for a stereo main mix or effects return. Performers can blend these five sources to their personal preference. A "Submixes Included/Excluded" button offers the added convenience of muting the four mono channels to hear only the stereo source (such as a control room playback mix), without losing their carefully dialed-in mono settings. The robust, lightweight design and included microphone stand adapter make it easy to position the mixer right in front of the performer.
