The Fireface UFX+ is engineered for maximum flexibility and performance. It connects to your computer via either blazing-fast Thunderbolt for real PCIe audio performance or high-speed USB 3.0, with full USB 2.0 compatibility as a backup. This offers users on both Mac and Windows platforms ultra-low latency, low system overhead, and minimal CPU load. The interface includes 12 analog I/O channels, featuring four digitally controlled mic/instrument preamps with up to 75 dB of gain. The addition of comprehensive MADI connectivity, with both coaxial and optical ports, allows for a massive expansion of the channel count, totaling 94 inputs and 94 outputs. 
The UFX+ incorporates RME's powerful onboard DSP, which runs the TotalMix FX mixing software. This software provides unlimited routing and mixing capabilities, along with a full effects suite (EQ, Dynamics, Reverb, and Delay) for creating multiple, latency-free monitor mixes. The interface also includes DURec (Direct USB Recording), which enables recording up to 76 channels directly to a USB hard drive or thumb drive without a computer. The optional ARC USB remote control adds tactile control over the TotalMix FX mixer.
