The Monoprice 10318 is a straightforward, professional-grade 3G-SDI to HDMI converter designed to bridge broadcast video equipment with commercial HDMI displays. It takes a serial digital interface (SDI) signal from a broadcast camera, switcher, or playback deck and converts it to a standard HDMI signal with resolutions up to 1080p at 60Hz. It supports standard SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and high-bandwidth 3G-SDI video formats, passing through up to eight channels of embedded digital audio at a 48kHz sampling rate.

A critical feature of the 10318 is its integrated, re-clocked SDI loop-through output. This allows operators to tap into a long SDI cable run, extract the HDMI signal for a local client monitor or confidence display, and push the pristine, re-clocked SDI signal further down the line to the main production switcher without suffering from signal degradation or jitter. It is built into a highly compact, mountable metal chassis suitable for strapping to the back of a TV or burying inside an AV rack.
