The Accu-Cable AC5PDMX10 is a professional 10-foot, 5-pin DMX cable designed for reliable digital communication between DMX controllers, lighting fixtures, effects, and other compatible DMX512 equipment. It uses a 5-pin XLR male-to-female configuration, providing a standard connection for professional lighting systems. The cable measures 10 feet (3.05 meters) and is constructed with 22 AWG stranded tinned-copper conductors, providing a durable signal path for professional stage and entertainment applications. ADJ identifies the AC5PDMX10 as a 10-foot DMX cable intended for linking lighting effects in DMX or Primary/Secondary control modes.

The cable uses a twisted-pair construction with polyethylene insulation and a polyethylene inner jacket. Its shielding system consists of Duofoil aluminum foil-polyester tape with 100% coverage, combined with a tinned-copper braid providing 85% coverage. The outer jacket is made from PVC, helping protect the cable from wear and reducing kinking during handling. The cable has a specified 110-ohm nominal characteristic impedance, making it appropriate for DMX data transmission rather than ordinary microphone-cable applications.

The AC5PDMX10 also provides detailed electrical and mechanical characteristics for professional installations, including 12.5 pF/ft conductor-to-conductor capacitance at 1 kHz, 23 pF/ft conductor-to-shield capacitance, and a nominal 76% velocity of propagation.
