Adamson SpekTrix W Passive Array Loudspeaker

$795.00

The SpekTrix WAVE (Wide Angle Vertical Enclosure) utilizes the same components as the SpekTrix and can be amplified and processed in parallel with the 5° model. The increased vertical coverage pattern of 15° SpekTrix W makes it the optimal downfill solution at the bottom of an array and perfect for use in a wide vertical array designs.

About the Adamson SpekTrix W Passive Array Loudspeaker

The Adamson SpekTrix W is a compact, high-performance passive array loudspeaker designed for precise, controlled coverage in demanding touring, fixed installation, and live sound applications. As part of Adamson's SpekTrix series, this model is engineered with advanced waveguide technology and component integration to deliver exceptional clarity, uniform frequency response, and predictable pattern control across its intended coverage area. The "W" designation typically refers to a specific wide horizontal dispersion pattern, making it an ideal choice for applications where broad, even coverage of an audience is required, such as front fills, under-balcony fills, distributed systems, or as a compact main loudspeaker for smaller venues. Its passive design requires connection to an appropriately powered and processed external amplifier, allowing system integrators to leverage existing amplification infrastructure or select amplifiers that match the specific power and processing requirements of the array.

The loudspeaker's acoustic design centers around a carefully optimized waveguide that houses a high-frequency compression driver and a low-frequency transducer. This coaxial or closely coupled arrangement ensures precise phase coherence and time alignment between the drivers, resulting in a coherent wavefront with minimal lobing and a seamless transition through the crossover region. The result is a clear, articulate sound with excellent off-axis response, ensuring consistent tonal quality for listeners both on and off-axis. The enclosure is constructed from rugged, multi-ply birch plywood with a durable, textured finish, built to withstand the rigors of touring while providing a rigid, resonant-free platform for the transducers.

The SpekTrix W is designed for versatile deployment, featuring integrated flying hardware that allows it to be easily arrayed with other identical enclosures to form larger vertical columns for increased vertical directivity and output. Its relatively compact size and weight facilitate quick setup and flexible positioning. For system engineers seeking a reliable, sonically accurate loudspeaker with wide horizontal dispersion for even coverage, the Adamson SpekTrix W represents a professional-grade solution that combines proven waveguide technology, robust construction, and the sonic integrity characteristic of the Adamson brand.
