The ADJ ENC163 Encore Profile Mini is a compact, energy-efficient LED ellipsoidal reflector spotlight (ERS) designed for theatrical, architectural, and event lighting where precise beam control and color are required. This fixture modernizes the traditional tungsten profile spot by utilizing a high-output white LED engine, eliminating the need for color gels and reducing power consumption and heat output significantly. It is engineered for applications such as small to medium theaters, houses of worship, conference centers, and display lighting, where long throw distances, sharp field edges, and consistent color temperature are essential for highlighting performers, artwork, or architectural features.
The optical system of the ENC163 is based on the classic ellipsoidal design, featuring a high-quality lens train that produces a defined, hard-edged beam with excellent field flatness. It includes four framing shutters that allow the beam shape to be precisely squared off or angled, providing exact control over the illuminated area. A focus mechanism adjusts the sharpness of the beam edge and any inserted pattern. Unlike traditional ERS fixtures, this LED model offers a variable color temperature range, typically from a warm 2800K to a cool 6500K, and may also include a suite of pre-programmed color filters, all accessible without physical gels. This provides instant, tool-free color correction and creative coloring from the lighting console or via manual controls on the fixture.
Built with a durable, lightweight aluminum housing, the fixture is designed for easy installation on trusses, battens, or floor stands. It operates silently with passive cooling, making it suitable for noise-sensitive environments like theatrical performances or recording. Control is available via DMX512 or a manual control panel on the fixture itself.
