ADJ EP Lens 50 Lens Tube for Encore Profile Pro Series Ellipsoidals (50 Degrees)

It is a fixed-angle optical lens tube module designed specifically for the ADJ Encore Profile Pro series of ellipsoidal light bodies (such as the Encore Profile Pro WW and Encore Profile Pro Color). It attaches to the front of the light engine to project a wide, fixed 50-degree beam of light for short-throw theatrical and venue applications.

The lens provides a fixed 50-degree beam spread, making it the widest lens option in the EP lens series. It is engineered for short-throw distances where a wide, room-filling wash or large pattern projection is needed from a relatively close mounting position (e.g., low-ceiling theaters, intimate stages, and front-of-house fills).

The lens tube houses precision-ground, high-transmittance glass optics featuring multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. This optical design maximizes total lumen output, minimizes light loss, reduces chromatic aberration (color fringing at the edges), and maintains high contrast across the entire projected field.

It features a standard profile barrel mount interface. The tube slides directly into the front barrel slot of any Encore Profile Pro light engine and is locked securely into position using the light engine’s side alignment thumbscrew and tension control system.

Focus adjustment is handled manually by loosening the side barrel thumbscrew and sliding the optical assembly forward or backward within its housing. This allows technicians to dial in a razor-sharp edge for crisp GOBO projection or soften the edge for smooth, blended key lighting.

The front of the lens tube features a heavy-duty metal accessory slot fitted with a spring-loaded retaining clip. It holds standard 6.25" x 6.25" (159 x 159 mm) gel frames, color filters, diffusion sheets, or optional beam-shaping accessories like drop-in iris assemblies and barn doors.

Thanks to its high-precision glass elements, the EP Lens 50 projects "B" size GOBO patterns (inserted into the profile body's GOBO gate) with high edge-to-edge clarity and minimal flat-field distortion, even at its wide 50-degree beam spread.

Constructed from a durable, heat-resistant aluminum housing finished in matte black, the lens tube is built to withstand high production demands. It measures approximately 9.2" x 8.6" x 8.6" (233 x 218 x 218 mm) and weighs 4.4 lbs (2.0 kg).
