Description

LINK is a 4-universe controller designed to control compatible DMX devices with control from the dedicated Airstream DMX LINK iOS App for iPad. LINK can connect to an IPad wirelessly or hardwired. When connected wirelessly, LINK creates a private standalone 2.4 or 5 GHz DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) WiFi network between an iPad and LINK console, which can coexist in busy RF environments alongside other wireless technologies. Connecting wirelessly will also allow you to undock the iPad and remotely control, program and playback your light show. Read more

About the ADJ LINK 4 DMX universe controller [B-Stock]

The ADJ LINK 4 is a compact and powerful DMX controller designed to manage up to 4 full universes of DMX-512 data (2,048 channels). It is positioned as a professional-grade lighting console suitable for controlling complex shows involving a large number of intelligent fixtures—such as moving heads, scanners, LED pars, and pixel-mapped fixtures—in touring, installation, nightclub, and theatrical environments. Unlike simpler DJ controllers, the LINK 4 is built around a fixture-oriented workflow, allowing programmers to patch and control fixtures by type rather than just by raw channel numbers, which significantly streamlines the show programming process.

The console features a clear, color LCD touchscreen as its central interface, providing visual feedback for fixture selection, color pickers, and position palettes. It includes 30 programmable playbacks (faders and buttons) that can be assigned to cues, chases, or scenes. A standout feature is its integrated 3D visualizer, which allows the programmer to visualize and program the lighting rig in a virtual space without needing to have all physical fixtures powered up—a massive advantage for pre-production and troubleshooting. For control, it offers both traditional DMX outputs (via 5-pin XLR) and sACN/Ethernet streaming protocol output, providing flexibility for modern networked lighting systems.

Built with a rugged metal chassis, the LINK 4 is designed for the road. It includes a built-in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that provides brief battery backup to safely shut down the console in case of a power failure, protecting show data. While it may not have the extensive feature set or dedicated hardware controls of larger, more expensive consoles, its combination of 4-universe capacity, fixture library, visualizer, and robust construction makes it a highly capable and reliable "workhorse" console for many professional applications.
