Description
The AJA HB-R-SDI is a professional HDBaseT receiver mini-converter engineered to extend 3G-SDI signals over long distances using standard Ethernet cabling. As the companion receiver to the HB-T-SDI transmitter, this compact unit accepts HDBaseT input and converts it back to 3G-SDI, enabling uncompressed video transmission up to 100 meters over Cat5e or better cable. Ideal for digital signage, fixed AV installations, live events, and broadcast environments, the HB-R-SDI provides a cost-effective solution for routing SDI signals throughout large facilities without signal degradation. Beyond simple video extension, the HB-R-SDI supports bidirectional IR and RS-232 control signals over the same Ethernet cable, allowing remote control of source devices or displays at either end of the link. This comprehensive approach to signal extension eliminates the need for separate control wiring, simplifying installation and reducing costs.
