Description
The AJA HB-T-SDI is a professional HDBaseT transmitter mini-converter engineered to extend 3G-SDI signals over long distances using standard Ethernet cabling. This compact unit accepts 3G-SDI input and converts it to HDBaseT format for transmission to a compatible receiver such as the HB-R-SDI. Ideal for digital signage, fixed AV installations, live events, and broadcast environments, the HB-T-SDI enables uncompressed video transmission up to 100 meters over Cat5e or better cable without signal degradation or latency. Beyond simple video extension, the HB-T-SDI supports bidirectional IR and RS-232 control signals over the same Ethernet cable, allowing remote control of source devices or displays at either end of the link. This integrated approach eliminates the need for separate control wiring, simplifying installation and reducing overall system costs. The unit features a rugged metal enclosure suitable for permanent mounting or portable use, and can be configured via USB using AJA's free Mini-Config software.
