The AJA HDBaseT to SDI Receiver (HB-R-SDI) is a professional mini-converter engineered to extend 3G-SDI signals over long distances using standard Cat 5e or Cat 6 Ethernet cabling and the industry-standard HDBaseT protocol. As the companion receiver to the AJA HB-T-SDI transmitter, this compact unit accepts HDBaseT input and converts it back to 3G-SDI, enabling uncompressed video transmission up to 100 meters (328 feet) without signal degradation. The unit is ideal for digital signage, fixed AV installations, live events, broadcast studios, post-production facilities, and on-set environments where long cable runs are required.

Beyond simple video extension, the HB-R-SDI supports bidirectional IR and RS-232 control signals over the same Ethernet cable, allowing remote control of source devices or displays at either end of the link and eliminating the need for separate control wiring. The receiver features a rugged metal enclosure suitable for permanent mounting or portable use, and can be configured via USB using AJA's free Mini-Config software.
