Description

The AJA Ki Pro Rack delivers the proven power of the Ki Pro platform in a compact 1RU form factor, purpose-built for broadcast, production, and post-production environments transitioning to file-based workflows. This professional recorder and player accepts SDI, HDMI, and analog video sources, recording directly to 10-bit Apple ProRes 422 or Avid DNxHD files on removable media. By capturing footage in ready-to-edit formats, it eliminates time-consuming capture and transcoding processes, getting material from source to editorial faster than ever before.

Engineered for seamless integration, Ki Pro Rack features AJA's renowned broadcast-quality up, down, and cross-conversion technology, allowing format unification without additional hardware. Comprehensive connectivity includes AES and balanced XLR audio I/O, REF and LTC timecode support, and RS-422 control for traditional VTR-style machine control. Dual hot-swappable media bays support rollover recording for long-form applications, while built-in Ethernet with intuitive web UI enables remote configuration and centralized management of multiple units. Supplied without drives, this configuration allows users to utilize existing KiStor modules or expand their media inventory as needed.
