The AJA OG-3-FR is a 2RU modular rack frame built on the openGear architecture, an open-standard platform developed by Ross Video that allows mixing analog, digital, video, and audio processing cards from various manufacturers within a single chassis. Designed for professional broadcast, production, and permanent installation environments, this frame accommodates up to 20 openGear-compatible cards, offering exceptional flexibility for customizing signal processing infrastructure while maintaining unified system control via the DashBoard control system. The openGear architecture is supported by a diverse range of terminal equipment manufacturers, allowing users to build system solutions tailored to specific application requirements.

Engineered for reliability and ease of maintenance, the OG-3-FR features a convenient fold-down front panel that enables quick card insertion and removal without requiring access to the rear of the rack. The frame includes integrated cooling fans with intelligent speed control, ensuring optimal thermal management even in high-density configurations with up to 300W of total card power dissipation. Standard Ethernet connectivity enables remote monitoring and configuration through the DashBoard control system, while two independent looping reference inputs feed all card slots for accurate signal synchronization. The frame is equipped with one front-loading hot-swappable power supply (PS-OG3) with the capability to add a second unit for full power redundancy in mission-critical applications. The modular rear panel design allows custom I/O connections per card, with rear modules available for various connector configurations.
