AMX Epica DGX 16 Matrix Switchers

$99.00

The Epica DGX 16 DVI Matrix Switchers are designed to route and distribute high-resolution computer DVI signals to multiple displays while maintaining a true digital signal. The Epica DGX 16 includes several new key features that simplify the complexity of DVI integration, such as cable equalization, signal re-clocking, and the easy-to-use EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) Programmer that is pre-loaded with the most common EDID settings and also allows custom EDID settings to be loaded on each input. Supporting 4.95 Gbps, the DGX ensures perfect pixel-for-pixel reproduction for all video resolutions up to 1920×1200. Designed with flexibility, the compact 4RU enclosure is available in various I/O size combinations including 8×16, 16×8, and 16×16. It features several integrator-friendly tools designed to simplify setup and reduce installation issues including hot-swappable I/O boards, real-time system monitoring, and fully redundant, hot-swappable power supplies with redundant power feeds.

About the AMX Epica DGX 16 Matrix Switchers

The AMX Epica DGX 16 is a professional-grade digital matrix switcher designed for medium-scale installations requiring reliable, high-performance routing of audio, video, and control signals. It forms the core of integrated systems in corporate boardrooms, education facilities, command and control centers, and hospitality environments, where multiple sources (like computers, Blu-ray players, and cameras) need to be dynamically distributed to multiple displays, projectors, and audio systems. The "16" in its model name typically denotes its base matrix size (e.g., 16x16), indicating it can route 16 inputs to 16 outputs, though the Epica DGX family is modular and often expandable with additional input/output cards to create larger custom configurations. This modularity allows system designers to tailor the switcher's capabilities precisely to a project's requirements, scaling up for future needs.

As a digital switcher, the DGX 16 is built for signal integrity and format flexibility. It accepts a wide array of signal types—including HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, composite, and stereo audio—and internally converts them to a high-quality digital format for switching and processing. This ensures signals can be routed over long distances without degradation via CATx cables to endpoints using compatible transmitters and receivers. The switcher is controlled through a comprehensive, intuitive interface, either via its front panel, a connected wired/wireless touch panel, or AMX's dedicated control system software (NetLinx), enabling users to create and execute sophisticated macros for one-touch control of entire room systems (e.g., "Start Presentation" powers on devices, lowers a screen, and routes a laptop to a projector).

Engineered for 24/7 operation, the Epica DGX 16 features robust construction with redundant, hot-swappable power supplies and cooling fans, ensuring maximum uptime in mission-critical applications. Its architecture is designed for seamless integration within the broader AMX ecosystem, supporting advanced features like system-wide control logic, scheduling, and remote management. By providing a scalable, reliable, and intelligent routing backbone, this matrix switcher delivers the performance and control necessary to manage complex audiovisual environments efficiently and professionally.
